Wanderers u19′s through to Cup Quarter Finals

December 14, 2014December 14, 2014
Michael BrownFINN HARPS u19's 3-5 BRAY WANDERERS u19's Bray cruised into the Quarter-Finals of the Enda McGuill Cup with a strong performance against Finn Harps this afternoon. Tom Walsh put the visitors ahead on the quarter hour, and although the Harps equalised just before the half-hour mark, new Bray signing Paddy Obijuru restored his side's lead three minutes later. Ten minutes into the second period, Harps were level again courtesy of the unfortunate Jason Ryan, who misdirected the ball past Gavin Sheridan. But a rapid-fire brace by Michael Brown (pictured) put the Seagulls two up, and with Oscar Brennan adding an insurance goal with ten minutes to go, not even a last-minute score by the home side could give them hope. Bray Wanderers Team: 32 Gavin Sheridan; 2 Daniel Blackbyrne, 19 Aaron Byrne, 15 Thomas Walsh, 21 Nathan Brennan; 10 Dylan Travers, 24 Darragh Noone, 16 Oscar Brennan, 11 Michael Brown; 13 Thomas Rowan, 18 Patrick Obijuru, Substitutes: 1 Marcin Kowalczyk (gk), 4 Jason Ryan (for Byrne 46 inj), 6 Paul Murphy (for Blackbyrne 46 inj), 9 Ryan Swan, 14 Cian O'Sullivan (for Noone 66), 20 Nathan O'Rourke (for Obijuru 80)
